Here's an example of how we'll work with a customer to assist in the most economical restoration possible:
Tom Jancewicz brought his 1989 Chevrolet Blazer 1500 into the shop inquiring about the cheapest way to restore it to new condition without sacrificing quality.
The vehicle had extensive rust on the passenger compartment floor, pick-up bed and many other areas of the body itself. Areas of the passenger compartment floor and pick-up bed were completely rotted through. There were a series of small dents and other rust spots throughout the body. The overall paint was faded, cracked and in need of being redone. This was a major project requiring cutting out many sections that were rusty and replacing them with new panels that would be impossible to differentiate from the original upon completion.
In keeping with our constant effort to perform the highest quality work possible while still remaining inside of the owner's budget, a combined effort was arranged. Tom delivered the vehicle totally stripped, all exterior trim, the cap, the entire interior, bumpers, etc. were removed and eventually replaced by him. This left us with the "meat" of the work and the countless hours of removing and replacing these items was to be performed by him. In this manner all of his actual dollars spent with Wicked Bodies was for the highly specialized rust removal, dent repair and refinishing. All of the less specialized labor was performed by the owner and he saved a considerable amount of money.
Paint Work:
All inside floors and the bed were refinished
Doors were refinished on the inside as well as the door jambs
The complete exterior was refinished with PPG 2 stage base/coat clear coat
The vehicle was then delivered in brand new condition for the owner to reassemble.
A most satisfied customer with an economical restoration!
